Slack -> Serious

Slack, Slack and more Slack. I love slacking with friends to the extend I would make it one of my hobby maybe? Haha. Always meeting up with friends and always spending our time away chatting at the void decks after having our dinner together most of the time.

Doing random things, talking about life, sharing experiences. What’s more, my friends who are in the polytechnics now are free as they are finally having their holiday! Gosh, I’m still counting down to my holiday which starts at the end of November.

I can’t wait when our holidays clashes, so we can go out and explore Singapore once again (Although we have relatively explored every corner of it already) or go overseas to have fun. Haha, the thought of it gets me excited.

But for now, got to concentrate on what’s infront of me and get ready for Assessment ! ‘Cause ain’t nobody got time for distractions and I will strive to do well. It’s time to be serious! Gambateh !

C-L-A-S-S-M-A-T-E-S.

Week 9 and still counting. I can’t believe how time passes so quickly. In a blink of an eye, it’s close to the end of week 9 and week 10 is starting. Assessment week is round the corner. I’m so nervous and also quite sad that our semester is soon coming to an end and our friends will be separated to go back to their majors.

We started out as a class that’s very unfamiliar to a whole new environment and people. We adapted to that quickly and became friends that were together for this 9 weeks and counting. In that class, always laughing crazily because of their actions and jokes. Ah.. They are really nice people. Look at those informal ‘class photos’, damn we are so loving as a class.

I’m pretty sure I will miss them when we graduate from our common foundation semester. Cheers to the awesome classmates !

Late Night's drink.

Recently, my mum bought a lot of this drink, Bird’s Nest Beverage thingy with Rock Sugar and it tastes great. It’s from some medical shop that sells chinese herbs and I don’t think it is that expensive but it’s okay to drink once in awhile?

Apparently, it’s good for the skin and makes your skin smoother I guess. Not really into these kind of drinks. For me, as long it’s tastes good than it’s cool. Bird’s nest is kind of one of the expensive ingredient that doesn’t come cheap as they are only able to get it only if the swallow builds it’s nest.

We are like eating bird’s nest with their saliva which stabilizes the nest. This drink has very little bird’s nest but I think it’s still awesome though. Gonna have to repair all the skin cells I have lost from sleeping so late at night as I also don’t want pimples to be coming out. Off to sleep. NIGHTS.

When Balloons don't pop.

I have decided to do something alittle bit different earlier this year and we decided to learn balloon sculpturing. And is like my senior for balloon sculpturing, learning for almost 2 years already. It’s quite fun to do and it’s interesting how so many shapes and sizes of balloon can be used to form a character or even a person.

As for me, I have learnt balloon sculpturing out of curiosity and to explore new forms of art. But for my friend, it is like his job, his passion and his love for balloon sculpturing. He is definitely on a way higher level than me. All I knew to do are like those simple balloon sculpturing like dogs and my best sculpture is like this cookie monster. CUTE right?! Haha. Not bad for a newbie I guess.

My friend is also often invited to birthday parties and events just to sculpt balloons and is being paid well. Of course, there is a certain standard. He is able to sculpt characters like superman, batman, wonderwoman and even the hulk ! All of them are like human sized. I guess that this is his form of art. We may be different in pursuing our perspective of art but still, art will always be art !

As quoted from Igor Babailov, “Art is an international language, understood by all.”

RAMEN.

RAMEN! One of my favorite Japanese food is the ramen! Everything about this bowl of ramen is totally awesome.

I’m kind of in love with Japanese food, be it sushi, sashimi and even just raw salmon, I love it ! Not forgetting the ‘Anime’ which always keep me company whenever I’m bored, it is like my ‘drama’ or you could say, ‘Television shows’. The difference is just that I will watch it online instead of tuning to different channels.

Back to the ramen; I’ve had this bowl of ramen at Ajisen’s and it tastes heavenly. The soup broth is thick and rich in flavor, noodles aren’t soggy and the side dishes like the chicken thingy ( I forgot what is it called) goes well with it.

Thinking of it at this time is making me so hungry! Although this isn’t the best bowl of ramen I have had but it’s good to make me satisfied! Oh gosh, I’m craving for ramen now.
